The Egghead Detective Agency returns with its sharp-witted trio and their egg-cellent adventures (pun intended). Let’s dive into round 2 with some rib-tickling jokes: Why do you call a dino that doesn’t bathe?  A Stink-o-saurus!  And what did the egg say to the dino? “You’re egg-stinct!”  Lastly, what do you call a dinosaur that’s a noisy sleeper? A dino-snoreus! Did those jokes crack you up? Volume 2 promises more laughter and mysteries to puzzle out. Maithili And The Minotaur : Dolls Of Despair - Book Review

Maithili And the Minotaur : Dolls of Despair

Welcome to the third wild ride of “Maithili and the Minotaur: Dolls of Despair”! This book is like a rollercoaster through a magical world with Maithili and her gang—Minotaur, Naagesh, Anjali, and Wolfhound. They’re on a mission to find Maithili’s mom, and things get crazier than a squirrel in a coffee shop.

It all starts with Maithili’s dream featuring a kid on a hill and a creature with the same eyes as her dad’s killer. Maithili thinks she’s got extrasensory powers and can change the future.

While Maithili’s off in dreamland, Naagesh, Anjali, and Wolfhound speed ahead, leaving her and the Minotaur in the dust. They finally catch up at the Cave of a Thousand Eyes, which sounds like the perfect spot for an eye doctor’s convention, if you ask me. The thousand eyes illustrated are haunting yet mesmerising.

Just when things seem to be looking up, Anjali tosses Maithili her mom’s box, and boom! Magic bangles snap onto Maithili’s wrists, putting her powers on lockdown. Now she’s gotta figure out how to save the day without her superhero skills.

Maithili and the Minotaur: Dolls of Despair is a fun and thrilling book with oddly mesmerising graphics that help enhance the story. If you’re a fan of unconventional illustrations, then this story is just for you. The thousand eyes, misshapen monsters, her oddball crew especially Naagesh. The illustrations are definitely worth a look; they’re so imaginative and creative.

Fans of the series will love this new adventure and will be eager to see what happens next.
